AROMA EVROU

The company “Aroma Evrou” was established in 2018 by experienced farmer and businessman Vassilis Mazarakis, in collaboration with agronomist Christos Moutafidis and is engaged in producing and processing lavender. In the small village of Valtos, in the municipality of Orestiada, in northern Evros, in an area of 24 acres, the company cultivates organic lavender and produces a series of processed products, including lavender honey, lavender tea, aromatic pouches, insect repellent lotion, lavender water, shoe deodorant, bath salts, aromatic candles, organic lavender essential oil, regeneration wax ointment, etc.

In 2020, “Aroma Evrou” established a Social Cooperative Enterprise, which, among other things, sells all processed lavender products online through an e-shop. Sales are also carried out by a network of partners throughout Greece.

The unit is part of the Open Farms network and welcomes several visitors every year, including school students. Every June, when the lavender is in full bloom, the company organizes agrotourism evenings amidst the colors and aromas of the blooming lavender fields, attracting many people.
