RODOPI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rodopi is a legal person governed by public law and was established by the Royal Decree of October 5, 1921, published in Greek Government Gazette 192/A/08.10.1921. It is one of the oldest chambers in the country and operates in the Regional Unit of Rodopi.

The Chamber’s targets, briefly, are the following:

• Continuation of the efforts to develop the region and the resolution of the business problems.
• Implementation of Community programs.
• Provision of information to the businessmen of the Rodopi Prefecture on various issues.

Main Activities of the Chamber:

• Submission of proposals on issues of economic and social interest.
• Contacts with the Government and competent Ministries and organizations.
• Maintenance of the General Commercial Register and the Chamber’s register of members.
• Organizing seminars and lectures.
• Organizing training seminars.
• Financial aid to associations, societies and other social or charitable institutions.
• Participation in Committees and Bodies of the Public Sector, any legal person governed by public law and entities of the broader public sector.
• Participation in non-profit civil companies.
• Participation in exhibitions both domestic and international.
