UNION OF ORESTIADA
The Agricultural Cooperative of Cereals of Orestiada “ENOSIS” was established in 1944 by farmers of the region who believed in cooperation and the value of teamwork and solidarity. With hard work, ENOSIS has evolved into a dynamic organization, that holds a dominant position in the local and regional economy and has been recognized as one of the largest cooperatives in the country.
ENOSIS serves responsibly and consistently the producers of the region, provides high-quality services and is active in a variety of areas of agricultural production, such as:
- Concentration and trading of maize, cereals, sunflower and cotton on behalf of producers
- Trading of agricultural supplies (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, agricultural tools and machinery) in 14 organized sales outlets
- Trading of essential goods (Super Market), from two retail stores
- Production and trading of compound animal feeds
- Production, processing, certification and trading of seeds and fodder legumes. It owns a seed processing and standardization unit
- Insurance brokerage services
- Serving its members and participation in the Integrated Management System for Subsidies, VAT return for farmers, a special accounting department for monitoring farmers’ income-expenses books.

- Inspection station for pesticide application equipment
- Examination centre issuing certificates on the knowledge of the sustainable use of pesticides
